Herida y Esperanza: Sonora Viva is a photographic exploration of the environmental transformations taking place across Sonora, a territory marked by extreme landscapes and increasingly visible ecological pressures.
Moving through forests, wetlands, desert ecosystems, rivers, reservoirs, and urban environments, the project traces both environmental damage and the forms of life that persist within it. Water scarcity, waste, habitat loss, and changes to the landscape coexist with processes of conservation, restoration, and resilience.
Rather than presenting the territory only through its deterioration, the series considers the tension between vulnerability and endurance, looking at a landscape continually shaped by human intervention and by its own capacity to persist.
